Description
The original application proposed a zoning by-law amendment and sought rental housing demolition and replacement approval to permit the redevelopment of the site with a total of 886 residential units ranging in buildings from 10 to 32 storeys in height, ground floor retail and a public parkette. The second submission proposed the demolition of the two existing apartment buildings and the redevelopment of the site with a total of 842 residential units. This included 33 stacked townhouses on the east side of the site, plus three buildings, one of which would contain ground floor retail, would range in height from 12 to 28 storeys and would contain 663 condominium units. A public park fronting Brimorton Drive is also proposed. The 141 rental units would be replaced with 146 rental units in a new 16 storey building. This revised submission reduces the building heights of the two buildings fronting Markham Road from 28 storeys to 24 storeys, which reduces the number of units in these two buildings from 553 to 473. The revised rental replacement building will provide 29 three bedroom units and will also provide five, family oriented, grade accessible units located on the ground floor. As a result of the changes, the overall unit count has been reduced to 762 dwelling units.
Linked lobbying registrations
These links are inferred by lobbyTO from file numbers and addresses named in the registration (task L2); the registry does not record which application a registration concerns.
Links between records are inferred by a model and are not reviewed by a person. Each link shows its score out of 1; moderate-confidence links (0.7 to 0.9) are wrong more often than high-confidence links. How links are scored

Comparison with similar applications
Lobbied applications are compared only with unlobbied applications of the same type, in the same ward, submitted in the same year and of the same size band (units or floor area from the description; sub-type for Committee of Adjustment files). Unlobbied applications are weighted to match the lobbied group. Raw lobbied versus unlobbied averages are not reported.

Submission to the first decision status seen in our daily loads (measured from launch). Approval and refusal rates are among applications with a recorded decision.
Large and complex applications attract both lobbying and longer reviews, and matching cannot remove every difference between applications, so a difference does not show that lobbying changed how an application was reviewed.
Lobbyists choose whom to contact, so a difference does not show a change of mind.
