Description

To obtain consent to sever the property for the purpose of a lot addition and to establish an easement/right-of-way, in order to facilitate a mixed-use development at 169 The Donway West (the "Development Site"). Related planning files include City File No. 15 227717 NNY 25 OZ and LPAT Case No. PL160225 and File Nos. PL160225 and PL160334. In its decision, dated February 5, 2019, the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal approved a mixed-use development on the Development Site composed of a 25-storey tower with a mid-rise element atop a shared 3-storey podium, public open space, a park and outdoor amenity areas. In order to consolidate the lands that form the Development Site, a consent is required to transfer the Conveyed Lands to 169 The Donway West. No variance is required as a result of this consent application.

Comparison with similar applications

Lobbied applications are compared only with unlobbied applications of the same type, in the same ward, submitted in the same year and of the same size band (units or floor area from the description; sub-type for Committee of Adjustment files). Unlobbied applications are weighted to match the lobbied group. Raw lobbied versus unlobbied averages are not reported.

Submission to hearing. Approval and refusal rates are among applications with a recorded decision.

Large and complex applications attract both lobbying and longer reviews, and matching cannot remove every difference between applications, so a difference does not show that lobbying changed how an application was reviewed.

Lobbyists choose whom to contact, so a difference does not show a change of mind.
