Description

To obtain a consent to sever and lot additions for two properties (109 Prairie Drive and 111 Prairie Drive) to create three residential lots. Each lot is to be developed with a new detached dwelling. Applications for consent B0048/21SC and B0049/21SC and minor variance applications A157/21SC, A0158/21SC and A0269/21SC are to be considered jointly by the Committee of Adjustment. The minor variance applications are seeking relief to the existing Zoning By-law to permit the construction of the proposed dwellings. NOTE: There are no associated variances to the Zoning By-law for lot frontages and lot areas.

Comparison with similar applications

Lobbied applications are compared only with unlobbied applications of the same type, in the same ward, submitted in the same year and of the same size band (units or floor area from the description; sub-type for Committee of Adjustment files). Unlobbied applications are weighted to match the lobbied group. Raw lobbied versus unlobbied averages are not reported.

Submission to hearing. Approval and refusal rates are among applications with a recorded decision.

Large and complex applications attract both lobbying and longer reviews, and matching cannot remove every difference between applications, so a difference does not show that lobbying changed how an application was reviewed.

Lobbyists choose whom to contact, so a difference does not show a change of mind.
