Description
The application to amend the Zoning By-law proposes two new buildings for the property at 333-351 King Street East & 200 Front Street East. The proposed development includes a 37-storey residential building (140 metres tall) on the west side of the site and a 28-storey office building (127 metres tall) in the centre of the site. The footprint of the new office building would replace some of the existing retail uses fronting on Front Street East. The existing Globe and Mail Centre, Coca-Cola/George Brown building and existing buildings fronting on King Street East would remain in place. The proposal also includes two privately owned publicly-accessible spaces fronting onto Front Street East, and a child care facility with outdoor space on the second floor of the proposed office building.

Lobbied applications are compared only with unlobbied applications of the same type, in the same ward, submitted in the same year and of the same size band (units or floor area from the description; sub-type for Committee of Adjustment files). Unlobbied applications are weighted to match the lobbied group. Raw lobbied versus unlobbied averages are not reported.

Submission to the first decision status seen in our daily loads (measured from launch). Approval and refusal rates are among applications with a recorded decision.
Large and complex applications attract both lobbying and longer reviews, and matching cannot remove every difference between applications, so a difference does not show that lobbying changed how an application was reviewed.
Lobbyists choose whom to contact, so a difference does not show a change of mind.
