Description
This application proposes to amend the former City of Etobicoke Zoning Code, as amended by site specific Zoning By-law No. 1088-2002 to change the required non-residential parking standards for certain uses such as office, laboratory, medical office/medical clinic, retail, and restaurant for the existing 12-storey office building at 1243 Islington Avenue. The purpose of the amendment is to acknowledge and legalize the existing number and dimension of parking spaces on site, while providing flexibility for future tenant occupancy. The existing office building has a gross floor area of 10,323 m² and contains 132 parking spaces, of which 108 parking spaces could accommodate a standard size car (as shown on the applicant's submitted plans). The exisitng parking spaces on the site would be maintained as shown on the surface level and within a three level underground parking garage. No exterior or interior alterations to the existing building are proposed.

Submission to the first decision status seen in our daily loads (measured from launch). Approval and refusal rates are among applications with a recorded decision.
Large and complex applications attract both lobbying and longer reviews, and matching cannot remove every difference between applications, so a difference does not show that lobbying changed how an application was reviewed.
Lobbyists choose whom to contact, so a difference does not show a change of mind.
